We stayed at Idle Wilde Inn for our 50th anniversary gift from our children. It was the perfect gift. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys an awesome breakfast and great accommodations. Marcus is a top notch host. There was plenty to do inside and out and a lovely yard and view of Seneca lake. If you plan to visit Watkins Glen I suggest this place!

We had a wonderful stay at the Idlwilde Inn. The house is big and beautiful with a porch and view that can’t be beat. It’s clear that Marcus and Elin take great pride in making it a home that is welcoming and very warm. The breakfast was gourmet and great fuel for a day of exploring Watkins Glen and the surrounding areas. We would not hesitate to come back in the future.

Me and my wife spent a few days here and had a wonderful time. The location is close to downtown Watkins Glen. The home itself was a woderful stay. Great character for a 100+ year old home. Still in great condition. The staff wes very courteous and outgoing. Breakfast was served every day with locally sourced ingredients. A full compliment of juice and coffee as well. The owners were wonderful at every step. Prior to arrival great communication was started. I was able to also get great options for activities as well. Everything was well above board. This was an excellent experience and would recommend this place to anyone for any stay in the area.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Idylwild Inn. From the moment we arrived, Marcus warmly greeted us and gave us a lovely tour of his beautiful home. We stayed for three days, and each morning we were treated to amazingly delicious breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. One evening, we even had the opportunity to meet Ike, the owner of the farm that supplies the fresh local beef, pork, and eggs served during breakfast — such a wonderful touch that made the experience feel even more special. The rooms were comfortable, the property itself was gorgeous, and the location was simply wonderful. We highly recommend a stay here and are already looking forward to returning soon!

Such a beautiful property with SO much character and charm! My husband and I were so delighted by every detail and felt like Marcus and Elin bent over backwards to make our stay unforgettable. We are already dreaming of a return trip! Shoutout to Stella, one of the cutest pups we've ever met.

This is a huge, rambling, ornate 1890's period house with endless rooms, comfy antique furniture and a deep history. Our business team of 6 stayed there comfortably and they still had rooms to spare. The bedroom I stayed in was private, elegant and plush. Breakfasts were delicious, tasteful, hearty, and there was ample coffee. Our host, Marcus, was friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. It really was an enjoyable and memorable stay.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this B&B!!! Stayed during the winter and the snowy estate was gorgeous. The hospitality was impeccable and the breakfast top notch. Our stay was so relaxing and comfortable. Truly felt magical. Always something amazing in the house to see and engage in. Can’t wait to visit again!!

We stayed at idlwilde the weekend of November 22. The whole experience was amazing. Marcus; his wife and staff were amazing hosts. I can not say enough great things about the Bed and Breakfast. Its homey and unique rooms, plus delicious breakfast were beyond our expectations. I know we will definitely be going back and recommend if you are traveling to Watkins Glen and want a great place to stay Idlwilde is it!!!!

Idlwilde Inn offers a romantic getaway that will not easily be forgotten. The location is superb, perched high above Seneca lake offering expansive, scenic views. The wrap around porch is an added bonus allowing guests to linger and admire the scenery in comfort. Inside the historic inn the rooms are tastefully decorated and inviting. The breakfast was copious and delicious, and the host-brewed coffee is a must! The staff and hosts were attentive and welcoming and every detail was thought of to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. 5+++ stars!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I have traveled the world and stayed in many hotels and bed & breakfasts over the years and this property and hospitality experience is in my top 3 of all time (the other two were in other countries!)! Breakfast was amazing, location is great, and Marcus (the owner) is the best! He provided great recommendations for places to eat and the best wineries in the area. Also less than 5 minutes from Watkins Glen Park. Don’t hesitate or second guess yourself. Just book your stay here and thank me later!
