Outstanding glamping experience! Our hosts were incredibly kind and hospitable - they treated our doggy Jack like family and the grounds were a lovely reprieve from city life. 10/10 recommend!
We stayed here for 3 days 2 nights, wife and I wanted to try something different than a regular hotel and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The Fox Den was everything you could want all in a small, intimate space. The balcony and view alone was worth every penny, a setting for night time sunsets and morning coffees doesn’t get better. As far as location, you’re secluded enough for maximum privacy yet super close driving distance to numerous wineries, breweries, restaurants and the town of Watkins Glen. The house couldn’t have been more responsive and informative even letting us know of an Italian Fest that was going on at nearby Clute Park. Highly recommended if you’re in town to hike Watkins Glen or just want to enjoy NY Wine Country we look forward to visiting in the future.
My best friend & I booked a last minute wknd on Seneca Lake to celebrate my 50th birthday. We scored when we found Seneca Sol. We stayed during off-season on a particularly cold wknd and made reservations the day before arrival. This wonderful family jumped through hoops to make our stay “work”. We stayed in the Alpaca Farm House. There were two of us but this house could easily accommodate 8+ ppl. The house has three bedrooms, two full baths, a spacious well equipped kitchen, two large gathering/family room areas as well as a mud room w/washer & dryer, front porch and back deck. So much room! Everything we needed was there! The decorating was eclectic and the house was extremely clean. The host was incredibly kind and invited us to come along when she fed the alpaca’s. The Alpaca Barn is close enough to catch glimpses of them when they venture out of their cozy barn. In warmer seasons the guests can meander out on their property and explore. The popular Seneca Lake wineries/breweries were all within less than 5 miles. We had an excellent experience here from beginning to end. This is a perfect place for large families, a girls weekend or a group of friends to gather and make memories! We will definitely be returning, hopefully for a girls trip with more of our friends!
A beautiful getaway with lovely sleeping accommodations with a private covered balcony excellent for watching the birds or reading. I found the bathrooms and showers to be clean and well supplied. Christine was kind and easy to communicate with throughout the booking and checking in/out process. Dog friendly as well!
A group of 5 of us stayed in the Alpaca Guesthouse. The guesthouse was more spacious than the pictures made it appear. It was very clean with plenty of space for us. The bonus was the alpacas right outside. The property is set back from the road and a short drive from town. Christine is very friendly and easy to get ahold of with any questions. We had also added on the wine tour. The wineries Christine selected were wonderful and her selection for lunch was absolutely perfect. We highly recommend staying at Seneca Sol.
Great location near Seneca Lake. Lovely tent, comfortable bed and pillows (softer than I'm used to, so I'm surprised by how much I liked them). Simple but plentiful and tasty breakfast options (coffee, tea, fruit, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, granola). I'm not used to critters being noisy but I got used to it. Bathroom areas were clean, spacious, and private where needed. I would stay again!
