Guests praise this farmhouse for a warm family atmosphere, exceptional farm-to-table breakfasts, and a peaceful rural location ideal for exploring the Finger Lakes wineries and Watkins Glen.
We really enjoyed our stay with Michael and Lisa! Room was very clean and the perfect landing spot. The true farm to table breakfast was such a delight and the perfect way to start off the day! If food is your jam, this is the place to be! Location is very easy access between Seneca and Keuka lake. Hope to stay again in the future!
We stayed 3 wonderful nights at Dean Lane Bed and Breakfast! First, Michael and Lisa are delightful hosts and made us feel so at home! Our room was spacious and the bed was luxurious and we loved the deck for breakfast and our evening relaxation. Breakfasts were elegant and beyond delicious and prepared us for our days of wine tasting, walking, and travel. The location is peaceful and less than 15 minutes to great wineries and restaurants. Michael’s recommendations were spot on. Best to you Michael and Lisa…Sharon and Peter
What an amazing weekend. I was visiting the finger lakes on business and wanted somewhere quiet but also an experience too. I sure got that. Dean lane was awesome. At the end of a dirt road kinda in the middle of nowhere is a unique experience. You get a true farm culture with the actual best food I've ever eaten. Michael is an incredible Chef. He served breakfast each morning between 8am-9am and its 100% worth getting up for. The room was super cool too. It was very easy to sleep in for a few nights with a new AC unit and great water pressure. Very comfortable accommodations. Michael, Lisa and their family are all super nice and really easy to talk to. Ask them anything, from food to the area to farming they are super friendly. Can't wait to go back not on business and enjoy the area with their guidance. Thanks again!
This B&B experience sets a new bar and is one I'll definitely be recommending to friends and family :) Lisa went the extra mile in ensuring our comfort, between COVID precautions, arrival coordination and a surprise home-made bakery treat. Come for the location, but stay for the food ... Chef Mike really blew our socks off with the breakfasts (see pics!). Always on time, down to the minute. His culinary expertise shone through with egg hash dish, but what stole our hearts were the blueberry buttermilk pancakes with freshly made whipped cream, crisp on the outside and pillowy inside. We loved them so much he offered to pack us the extras to go without hesitation; A+ for service! Pork sausage was from their farm, truly farm to table and seasoned with the family recipe. I do note tables were socially distanced and he was excellent about wearing his mask. We got great tips/advice from Lisa, Mike (and Mike's parents, who have great tales) on activities/wineries in the area, they are all passionate and welcoming. The B&B has convenient location midway between Keuka and Seneca lakes, so we got to check out both with ease. Also it's close to Watkin Glens, an excellent distillery (in the middle of nowhere!), and not far from marquee wineries ( Dr. Frank's, Barnstormer, Heron Hill, etc.). At the B&B, hammock and rocking chairs so we could get that country feel. Room was comfortable with well appointed, roomy bathroom (note: the bathroom door looks nice as it is barn-style, though that means it is not sound proof). Lastly, be sure to check out the farm animals in the AM I still dream about those blueberry pancakes. And that's after having been to Maine :) I look forward to the day we will return to Dean Lane!
We were looking for an authentic experience in the Finger Lakes that felt private and peaceful, but still close to all the activities we wanted to do - kayaking, wineries, hiking, restaurants etc. Dean Lane gave us exactly that and more, run by a friendly, warm family that makes you truly feel welcome and at home during your stay in their farmhouse. Being approx 20 min from Watkins Glen is truly an advantage - you are situated between two beautiful lakes among wide open pastures and charming country roads that make the drive to and from part of the fun. We loved seeing the animals on the farm and had a lot of laughs and great conversation with the hosts during our stay. They are happy to recommend or answer any questions. Now, breakfast is important for us - all the reviews are spot on about this place. The farm to table experience can’t be beat! Lisa and Mike prepared incredible food that we ate while sitting on their porch, watching the sun spill over their serene property - we even saw humming birds in their garden. Definitely recommend!!
