Super nice people and even nicer cabins! It’s super nice and peaceful me and my 19 year old brother love it. The fire place is amazing and they have good prices for wood to purchase and fire starts. There’s a good amount of land for each cabin to play ball or catch. I would definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of staying in The Nest at Catharine Cottages for the July 4th weekend. First of all Ilona is the most lovely host. She is responsive when needed, friendly and open to a chat, but also knows how to give guests space. It is obvious that she takes a lot of pride in making the property as nice as possible for guests. She has pretty much thought of everything and she provided a lot of information for visiting the local area. We felt very welcome. The Nest in the main house is a large and roomy space and the place and property are exceedingly clean and well appointed. The beds - including the sofa bed - were very comfortable. The air conditioning was strong / cool on a hot weekend and the WiFi was fast which was great as I had a work video conference from the room. The welcome basket was really lovely. Being right on Catharine River was peaceful and magical - whether walking the river in my river shoes or sitting out in the rocking chairs in the Gazebo in the evening with a bottle of wine. We were able to get to many attractions easily from the Seneca Wineries to the many gorge hikes and swimming areas to the Corning Museum of Glass. And it is just a few minutes to the natural swimming hole under the waterfall at Eagle Falls. It was a bit hot for a campfire when we were there but the fire pits looked lovely!

This place is adorable! I visited some friends who stayed there and they loved the breakfast basket and shared that the owners seemed to have thought of everything!

Just returned from our second trip to Catharine Cottages! A thoughtful basket of local goodies awaits you here, and just the right amenities to feel at home. We explored the Finger Lakes all day, unwound by the creek in the evenings and survived the 90 degree nights without a hitch thanks to the AC. We hope to return again! Always more waterfalls to visit in wine country!

Catherine Cottages provided exactly what I wanted. One main room and a bathroom. Although we intended to sleep 3 inside and 2 outside in a tent, when hard rain hit and the tent took on water, all 5 inside was doable. Hot water was plentiful and the entire site was very clean. Cooked on the provided "campsite" grill. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Plenty to do nearby.

Amazing cottages to stay in the Watkins Glen area. Very manicured grounds and beautiful scenery. Some deer were at the Creek bend , Cardinals, BlueJays flying about. The amenities inside the cabin were very nice of the owners to provide. Though not far off the road , the privacy is amazing. A must visit and stay. So many nearby attractions, eateries , and minutes from the village. A+×

Oh wow, what an adorable cabin. My mom and I stayed in #1. IIona was very hospitable at bringing towels and washcloths to us. We loved sitting on the deck reading and watching birds. I love the Catalpa Trees and the creek. Fireflies were wonderful. Everything was amazing here. I love the little night lamp in the bathroom and the floors are gorgeous. We were here for five days to watch the Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International. Great location and beautiful views!!

Gem in the woods!! Cottage was so clean and well maintained!! Welcome basket on the table was filled with snacks and breakfast goodies!! 2 rockers on the porch over looking the creek! So peaceful. Fire pit with two chairs! Very nice. This cottage had everything needed to make it an awesome place to stay. The owner was so pleasant and helpful!! We will be back ?

Catherine Cottages is such a nice spot. Minutes outside of Watkins Glen, the cozy cottages upon the creek are located right off the beaten path, but still close enough to explore the area. The owner was wonderful, and the breakfast basket was delicious. We'll definitely come back!
